Biography
Melanie Khosravi, D.O., J.D., brings a rare and powerful perspective to medical malpractice litigation as both a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and an experienced attorney. Her dual training uniquely equips her to navigate the complexities of medical and legal systems with insight and precision. Melanie has practiced on both the defense and plaintiff sides of medical malpractice and personal injury cases, giving her a comprehensive understanding of litigation strategy and the nuances of the legal process. Prior to founding Artemis Legal Advocates, LLP, she spent many years defending physicians and hospitals, gaining deep knowledge of defense tactics—insight she now uses to anticipate and counter opposing strategies. On the plaintiff side, she has worked alongside leading trial attorneys, helping secure millions of dollars in compensation for injured patients.
Melanie earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles. She went on to conduct clinical research in Lupus Genetics at the David Geffen School of Medicine, Department of Rheumatology. She then earned her medical degree with honors from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York City, where she was inducted into the Sigma Sigma Phi honor society. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Oklahoma State University Medical Center. It was during her clinical training that Melanie developed a deep interest in the intersection of law and medicine—ultimately leading her to pursue a legal career.
She earned her Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School through its accelerated, two-year SCALE Program, concentrating in Civil Litigation & Advocacy. During law school, Melanie was a member of the Moot Court Honors Program and served as a staff editor for both the Southwestern Journal of International Law as well as the Journal of International Media & Entertainment Law. She also externed for the Honorable Justice Audrey Collins at the California Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District. Following graduation, Melanie was selected as a Fellow for the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) Externship Program with the Los Angeles Chapter.
Melanie is licensed to practice law in all California state courts.
